By now we hope you’ve been introduced to our newest Flora ex Machina addition, Royal Ghee Gold. Like our original flavor, she’s been thoughtfully crafted into our enriched signature base of whipped pastured and grass-fed and organic ghee, raw and unfiltered wildflower honey and creamy vitamin D and E-rich, skin, hair and nail-supporting tocotrienol powder.
Royal Ghee Gold includes inflammation-reducing turmeric, vitamin C- packed camu camu and nervous system-supporting ashwagandha to create an immune-supporting spread with the flavor of decadent golden latte.
Our spreads were created to fill the gap between food and function. Tired of sacrificing our health to satisfy cravings or bypassing flavor in favor of our wellbeing, our spreads don’t compromise taste for nutrition. Period. We wanted develop a product that could enliven a dish’s flavor and nutrition while being versatile enough to upgrade a wide variety of sweet to savory foods. We think we’ve done just that. Read on for Royal Ghee Gold’s spotlight ingredients and three delicious ways to incorporate and boost your lifestyle.
Turmeric – is prized for its antiviral, anti-carcinogenic and anti-inflammatory properties and curcumin content. It’s a potent immunity booster and has been used to additionally support and reduce symptoms of arthritis and joint pain as well as menstrual cramps. Taking turmeric regularly may help to prevent cold and flus while lowering cholesterol and maintaining a healthy weight. It helps to soothe inflammation in our gut while also detoxifying our livers. Combining turmeric with pepper (as we do in our formulation), helps to make its healing properties more bioavailable to the body for use.
Camu Camu – a tart berry, contains the highest levels of vitamin C than any other ingredient. Vitamin C helps to strengthen our immune function, detoxify our system and is essential for collagen production. It acts as a powerful antioxidant preventing oxidative stress and damage to our bodies. It too can help to alleviate symptoms of inflammation and help to maintain a healthy weight.
Ashwagandha – is a powerful Ayurvedic adaptogenic herb that may help to lower blood sugar levels, reduce the “stress hormone”, cortisol and help to fight stress, anxiety and depression. It too may help to lower cholesterol and reduce overall inflammation in the body.
Propolis – Naturally occurring in unfiltered honey, propolis is the natural resin that bees use to seal off and insulate their hive. Over 300 compounds have been identified in propolis, most of them promoting healing properties relating to their antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition propolis has been founds to support gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, and gynecological, oral, and dermatological issues both internally and externally.
It is important to note that small amounts are naturally occurring in honey, so if you have an allergy to honey or bee products, you will likely have a reaction to propolis as well.

1 tablespoon raw honey or sweetener of choice

Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth and creamy.
Pour mixture into moulds and freeze overnight before trying to remove. If using Zoku or other popsicle maker, follow specific product instructions.
If ice cream is desired, freeze and spoon to serve or use ice cream maker.
