At Flora, beauty is not something to achieve but to embody. Beauty is a radiance within all of us; a message in self-care that comes from within and mirrors the inner state of our health and being.
So when we talk about beautifying, it’s an inside job. Nourishing our bodies from the inside out with beauty elixir ingredients that support our digestion, immunity, hormone, and cellular health creates a cascade ripple effect that can’t help but fortify the state and luster of our skin.
This Winter Beauty Elixir is the perfect sans-alcohol swap for holiday gatherings; a tonic that is as beneficial as it is delicious, oozing luscious goddess vibes to support the temple that you are.
With a reputation as being the most expensive of herbs, saffron has long been used and revered despite its laborious production dating back to ancient Greeks, Indians, and Egyptians. Intoxicating, rich and woody, spicy and floral in scent, saffron is prized for its many benefits, including cellular regeneration, balancing hormones, and even treating depression.
Pomegranates offer a plethora of nutrients and antioxidants that support our cellular health and the development of healthy cells. They may help to reduce inflammation throughout the body, boost nitric oxide availability, helping to improve blood flow and oxygen.
Reishi and Chaga are incredibly well-studied for their effects on the immune system. Reishi has been shown to fight against infection and even cancer cells, soothing the nervous system, helping you to relax while reducing fatigue and depression. Chaga, also called the King of Mushrooms, has similar properties – high in antioxidants, aiding in reducing inflammation, lowering and stabilizing blood sugar and cholesterol, it has also been studied to fight cancer and slow the growth of cancer cells. With a flavor akin to maple, it makes the perfect addition to all your winter tonics and teas.
Perhaps the most underrated of the spices, cinnamon is prized for its ability to increase digestive fire and boost the metabolism, while helping to balance blood sugar. It has anti-fungal properties which may help symptoms of candida and additionally helps boost circulation.
While we promote nourishing oneself from the inside out, that doesn’t mean external products don’t hold any benefit. Inspired by the healing modalities of the East, our Sacred Eclipse Argan Facial Oil provides the same regenerative qualities directly to the skin. Infused with the same cellular-turnover-promoting saffron as well as rose, geranium, basil, and carrot seed – this oil is therapy for all your senses.
